During filming, the filmmakers planted hundreds of cameras around Mount Spokane. For months, these cameras operated 24 hours-a-day gathering footage for the movie. During production, some of this footage was streamed live over the internet via the popular video site Stickam.com. Simultaneously, two teams of camera operators followed UFO Phil as he engaged in day-to-day activities. The finished film also incorporates several interview segments. The filmmakers are classifying the end-result as a Cinematic Documentary; a film which incorporates aspects of documentary filmmaking with more traditional cinematic scenes in order to tell a story. |
